Jessie James Decker........................Born Jessica Rose James, Decker's somewhat exotic birthplace was a product of her being raised in a military family. At the age of 15, Decker was living in Georgia. A representative of the independent label Big Yellow Dog Records heard her at 17 and started selling her songs to various labels. After Mercury Records president David Massey saw the demos of Decker, he sent her work to L.A. Reid head of the affiliated Island/Def Jam label group and Reid agreed to sign her up for an agreement with a record label. On August 9, 2009 Decker made her debut self-titled album under the name Jessie James. Jessie James, which featured Wanted as a number one hit within the Top 40 Singles Charts was somewhat successful. Decker has always considered herself as a country singer, but the album's marketing and production was designed to appeal to an audience more influenced by pop. Decker, who had been dissatisfied by the two other singles that were released from the album against the management of the record label for better power. Decker then released her second single Boys in the Summer which is more country. Decker launched her sophomore album with two titles: Sweet American Dreams or Daughter of a Gypsy. Mercury shelved it following the initial three singles fell in the country charts. Decker then was let be released from her contract.
