Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Sara Ramirez was brought up by an American mother, and faced a lot racial taunts that led her to feel unwelcome. It was during her ninth grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim in an audition. This experience did not just help her gain confidence but changed her goals in the future. At the age of 22, she graduated in the Julliard School of New York. In the year 23 she started her professional career, making her first appearance on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. Her most memorable break came from the role of The Lady of The Lake, in the first Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. Following that, in 2007, she was a cast member on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. She is known as a performer and released her own single and an extended show. She also works as an LGBT activist.
